In March 2015, Animal Control checked the welfare of a black Labrador retriever in a pen. Upon arrival, the officer found the pen too small per county law. Since the elderly home owner was on a fixed income, Animal Control did some networking and found a generous donator to donate more fencing. Two Animal Control officers and the Director extended the pen area and the dog is now enjoying a larger area and the sun.
