CLARKSVILLE, TN – Montgomery County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) invites the community to its 10th annual Howl & Meow-O-Ween Adoption Bash, a Halloween-themed celebration of pets, families, and community spirit.
The free, family-friendly event will take place Sunday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at MCACC’s new North Clarksville shelter at 437 Jordan Road.
Visitors can expect a full day of festive fun, including:
- Pet adoptions (+ sponsored fees)
- Trunk-or-treat for kids
- Costume contests for both pets and humans
- A free microchipping clinic from 1-3 p.m., hosted by the APSU Vet Tech program
- Appearances by Clarksville Fire and Rescue and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
- Local food trucks, vendors, and rescue groups
The North Branch Library next door will join in the celebration with a special story time and craft followed by a costume parade to visit MCACC.
The annual Howl & Meow-O-Ween event is held in honor of Scotti Reif Jr., the late son of a former MCACC officer. What began as a small shelter-side celebration has grown into one of Clarksville’s beloved fall events, connecting hundreds of residents with adoptable pets while highlighting MCACC’s mission of compassion and community.
“We love seeing families come out in costume and meet the amazing animals waiting for homes,” said Dave Kaske, Director of MCACC. “It’s a perfect way to celebrate the season, with wagging tails, smiling faces, and community support all in one place.”
MCACC encourages guests to RSVP and share the event on Facebook.
