CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Area Salvation Army put its annual Angel Tree in the center court of Governor’s Square Mall Friday, Nov. 8. The community can now stop by the tree and pick up an angel to shop for during the holiday season.

Unlike years past, a national contract between the Salvation Army and Walmart now prevents Angel Trees from being placed in any of the Clarksville Walmart locations until the day after Thanksgiving. This change means that the angels will only be available in the stores for ten days before they must be turned back in. For this reason, the Salvation Army is asking for businesses, corporations and churches to either put up a tree or adopt a certain amount of angels to assure that all of the children are adopted.
