CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – American Family Care has become the latest new business to become a member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce. The chamber held a ribbon cutting Friday, January 31 at the health care clinic in the Madison Street Commons.

The Clarksville clinic has been open since January 13 and is the 44th American Family Care Center for the company and the seventh in Tennessee. Clinic Manager, Jerry Sweeney, talked about the clinic saying they are capable of handling just about any type of health care need.

“We do a little bit of everything, basically from the common cold up to just short of life-threatening. Obviously if someone is having a life-threatening problem they need to go to the emergency room,” said Sweeney.

Sweeny added they offer urgent care, primary care, workman’s comp, occupational medicine and are full service with an in house lab. They offer X-rays and are able to treat trauma cases such as stitches and broken bones. American Family Care also accepts most insurance and they have a flat rate process for people without insurance.

You’ll find American Family Care at 1763 Madison Street Commons and they are open 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. seven days a week. Visit their website at www.afccares.com or call 931-278-8000.
