American Duchess steamboat docks in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The American Duchess steamboat was docked at McGregor Park in Clarksville Friday afternoon.

The American Duchess is owned by the American Queen company, which frequently travels the Cumberland River and docks in Clarksville.

Captain Jeff Ralls, a Dover resident who works for the company, said the steamboat is important for local tourism and revenue.

The American Duchess will return to Clarksville later this month.

Note: The American Duchess is a passenger vessel and is not open to the public. Passage must be booked in advance.
