CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The American Cornhole Organization-Clarksville Major kicked off at F&M Bank Arena on Friday. The event continues through Saturday and is free and open to the public to watch.

The tournament marks its third year in Clarksville and its first year at F&M Bank Arena. The event was previously hosted at the Austin Peay State University Dunn Center, where it sold out for competitors during its first two years.

“We sold out the Dunn Center the first two years, and we’ve sold out the event this year as well,” said Blake Monroe, senior director of Sales with Visit Clarksville. According to Monroe, moving the tournament to a larger venue has allowed organizers to expand the competition.

“We’ve been able to increase the overall venue size, which increased the amount of boards we can take on, as opposed to the previous years, which, in turn, of course, creates the space to open up to more competitors.”

The Clarksville Major draws players from across the country, and nearly 500 competitors will attend the tournament throughout the weekend.

For those interested in attending Saturday, spectators can enter through the College and Second Street entrance. Competition begins around 9 a.m. daily and runs until approximately 11 p.m.
