Ambrose Ronald Giles, 79, passed away January 2, 2024. He was born in Clarksville on August 21, 1944, a son of Emmett J. and Rubye Waters Giles. He was known by various names to different people: Ronnie, Ron, Ambrose, and Brose all being names to which he answered.

Ronnie graduated from Clarksville High School in the class of 1962. He loved all sports and was on the basketball team at CHS. He was an accomplished tennis player and enjoyed playing for fun, but also in a number of tournaments. Ron was an avid supporter of the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos. He was also noted for his skills on the dance floor.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 and served for six years. For four of those years, he was stationed at R.A.F. Mildenhall, near Cambridge, England. Upon leaving the Air Force he enrolled and graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He spent a productive career working in those areas.

Brose is survived by his son, Scott, and wife Carla of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter, Tatiana Gant of Helena MT; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ian, and Kate Giles and Casper and Wyatt Gant, and his son-in-law, Bill Gant He is also survived by his brother, Joe W. Giles of Nashville, his former wife and mother of his children, Polly Rodriguez of Colorado Springs, CO, her son and his wife, Silvano and Allison Vigil and their children Oliver and Charlotte, of Las Vegas, NV, along with many cousins and friends in the Clarksville and Nashville areas.

A visitation with family and friends will take place at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024. A brief graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery.
