CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Amber Anderson, Account Executive for 5 Star Media Group, has been named Ambassador of the Quarter for the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
An Ambassador of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is a very important part of the day to day operations of the Chamber. As an Ambassador they are goodwill representatives of the organization that works for business and community interest in Clarksville Montgomery County.
Ambassadors are the public relations arm of the Chamber of Commerce. They serve as the welcoming committee for grand openings and ribbon cuttings; as support at special events, Business After Hours, and ribbon cuttings; and as representatives of the Chamber as they conduct business for themselves and the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is a business organization that works on behalf of its members through the Board of Directors and committees as outlined in the Plan of Work. The work of the Chamber is financed by the investment of the members who support it by paying their fair share in membership dues. Ambassadors actively interact with existing members and encourage others to join the Chamber.
Each year there are various events such as ribbon cuttings, grand openings, the Chamber Golf Scramble, Annual Dinner, Business After Hours, Women In Business, Power Breakfast, and Lunch & Learns where the Chamber needs volunteers to help with registration, information, or even serving. Volunteers can give one hour or a full day at each event. The Chamber requires 60% participation of this committee of all events hosted.
A Chamber Ambassador of the Quarter will be selected each quarter by accumulation of points according to the events for that quarter. The Ambassador with the most points throughout the year will be recognized as the Ambassador of the Year at the Annual Dinner & Gala in June.
