CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Allie Phillips, a working mom of two, a union member, and a community advocate, announced her campaign for Tennessee House District 75.

Phillips said her campaign prioritizes lowering costs for working families – including housing, childcare and healthcare. She said is also focused on protecting and strengthening public schools, opposing private voucher programs that divert funding from local classrooms. Additionally, she said she is prioritizing veteran care and proactively solving Montgomery County’s growing traffic and road infrastructure problems.

“Tennessee families are working hard, but costs keep rising faster than their paychecks can keep up with,” Phillips said. “Housing is out of reach, childcare is unaffordable, healthcare is overwhelming, and the roads aren’t keeping up with our growth. I’m running to focus on real, local solutions that make life more affordable and our community stronger.”

Phillips said she has also been a vocal advocate for reproductive healthcare following her own pregnancy loss, an experience that highlighted the consequences of state policies that fail to account for real-life medical emergencies. She said this campaign is about listening to constituents and addressing the full range of issues that affect families’ daily lives.

Phillips lives in Clarksville with her husband, 8-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son.

District 75 covers west Montgomery County and parts of west Clarksville. The primary for state House races will be in August, with the general election in November.
