Alice Hughes Halley, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.
Alice was born August 3, 1929, in Marion, KY, to the late Rush Hughes and Lena Yates Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Halley; two sons, Michael Vaughn Halley and Paul Hughes Halley; and two sisters, Helen Hodge and Martha Boitnott.
Mrs. Halley was a retired medical transcriptionist and a member of New Providence United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, January 10, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. B.J. Brack and Rev. Cynthia Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 9, and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, January 10 at the funeral home.
Alice is survived by one son, Tom (Sharon) Halley of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter, Rosemary Culverhouse of Clarksville; eleven grandchildren, Michael Vaughan Halley, Jr., Laura Richards, Leslie Warner, Natalie Harbold, Brian Halley, Derek Halley, Mandy Halley, Zack Halley, Shane Halley, Keegan Halley, and Tara Halley; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Halley, Keegan Halley, Michael Halley, Zackary Halley, Brian Halley, and Derek Halley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Providence United Methodist Church Choir, 1317 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Clarksville, TN 37042.
