CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) Our ESPN Clarksville Culver’s Athlete of the Week is Northeast High School junior guard, Alec Kegler.
He scored 26 points and had six rebounds in the TSSAA state quarterfinal win over Riverdale.
Alec was named to the TSSAA Class AAA All-Tournament Team. He averaged 20.1 ppg and 6.3 rpg. This year Alec was named District 10-AAA MVP, District 10-AAA tournament MVP as well as Region 5-AAA MVP.
Northeast Basketball coach John Stigall talked about Kegler’s achievements.
“Alec had an outstanding state tournament performance. He was one of the best players in a tournament with many high-level college prospects. We look forward to his continued development during this off season, and we look for big things from him and our team next season,” Stigall said.
The Eagles finished the season with a 30-6 record.
