OAK GROVE, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Kentucky State Police are investigating a two vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on I-24 Wednesday night.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle, operated by 24-year-old Justin O’Dell of Oak Grove, was traveling westbound on I-24 near the 91 mile marker. O’Dell failed to slow for traffic in front of his vehicle and struck a 2006 Dodge passenger vehicle, also traveling westbound, being operated by Trena McPherson of Kuttawa.
O’Dell was thrown from the motorcycle after the collision and was transported to Tennova Hospital in Clarksville, TN for treatment of his injuries.
Trena McPherson and a passenger were not injured.
O’Dell was wearing a helmet. Both people in the passenger car were wearing their seat belt.
Weather and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the collision.
