CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – An Alabama man pleaded guilty to robbery charges earlier this month in the 2022 Manning Drive fatal shooting.

On Feb. 17, 2022, police responding to a call at the apartments at Manning and Wynwood Drive and found 20-year-old Decarlos Perkins lying on the ground with a gunshot wound, according to previous reports.

Darius Dwayne Archibald, 22, was charged with murder in the shooting death. On March 11, he pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated robbery. The murder charge was dismissed as part of the settlement. Archibald was sentenced to serve eight years in Tennessee Department of Corrections.

In addition to Archibald, police also charged Zsayonna Price with homicide in Perkins’ death. In August 2025, Price pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, according to court records.
