Adam Nicholas Pappas, age 21, of Greenbrier passed away suddenly March 2, 2014 due to a heart event.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church, 431 W. Old Hickory Blvd, Madison, TN with Elder Johnny Carver and Elder Mark Carver officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville, TN. Family received friends from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday. Services were in the care of Sykes Funeral Home, Clarksville, TN.
Adam was born May 19, 1992 in Nashville, TN to Gust and Beverly Jane Woodard Pappas. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis and Kareen Pappas and aunt Darlene Mosley.
The Lord saved Adam on September 29, 2000, assuring him of an eternal life in Heaven with Jesus his Savior. He was a 2011 graduate of Davidson Academy and was attending King University in Brentwood, TN. He was a member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church, worked for Pettus Office Products, and was an avid golfer. He left behind a legacy of the brightest smile imaginable! Adam will be sorely missed by many friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his brothers; Andrew Pappas, Alex (Erin) Pappas; maternal grandparents, Billy and Mary Woodard; aunts, Pat (Steve) Hall, Marguerite (Albert) Pryor, Melinda (Jerry McFarland) Pappas; family friend, Dorothy McDaniel; cousins, Ryan and Erin Meadows, Jonathon (Amanda) Pryor, Joshua (Jamie) McFarland, Michael McFarland, Leslie Mosley; and his beloved friend, Kristina DiFalco.
Pallbearers were Andrew Pappas, Alex Pappas, Justin Collier, Blake Collier, Matthew Holloway, Kaleb Thomas, Sonny Hill and Tyler Garner.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
