CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Over the weekend, Montgomery County topped an unwelcome milestone in the coronavirus outbreak: More than 500 active reported cases.
As of Monday, July 13, there are now 549 active cases of COVID-19 here, with 46 new cases reported each day for the last two days, according to Joey Smith, director of the Montgomery County Health Department. That brings the total cases reported since March 6 to 824, with 268 recovered and 7 deaths.
The number of active cases, that is, the number of people currently testing positive who have not yet recovered, has gone up by almost 200 since last week.

How to get a free coronavirus test
Coronavirus testing is offered Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., by the Health Department at Montgomery County Civic Hall, 350 Pageant Lane. Follow the signs to the drive-up testing site.
Starting Thursday, the testing site will move to Richview Middle School, 2350 Memorial Drive, with the same hours. It will move back after early voting ends.
The tests are offered while you wait in your car, and results come back two to three days later.
