STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Stewart County authorities will have extra security on hand when suspected killer Kirby Wallace makes his first court appearance Tuesday, four days after his capture.
Sheriff Frankie Gray told ClarksvilleNow he has ordered “extra people in place when he’s transported from the jail and in the court room.”

The facilities are about a mile apart, and while Gray says he doesn’t expect any problems, the extra precautions are necessary because “it can be dangerous for him and for the people who are transporting him,” Gray said.
Wallace was captured Friday following an intense, 7 day manhunt. He’s accused of killing two people and robbing several others in Stewart and Montgomery Counties.
