CLRAKSVILLE, Tenn. – Some students at Minglewood Elementary School got a big surprise Tuesday, December 15 when Academy Sports + Outdoors presented 50 bicycles to 25 girls and 25 boys. The deserving students received the bikes as part of Academy Sports bike donation program.

The program offers local schools the chance to reward children during the holidays for perfect attendance, academic performance, good behavior, and/or need.

Minglewood Principal, Bonnie Digby, said the smaller 20 inch bicycles donated by Academy Sports were for student’s kindergarten through 3rd Grade. The 4th and 5th grade students were rewarded with $50 gift cards

Throughout December Academy Sports + Outdoors donates bikes and helmets in 15 states which this year will benefit over 4,000 children at 120 locations. Chris Morris and Jason Pearson with Academy Sports + Outdoors took part in the presentation of the bicycles.
