CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – They said they would, and rocked you at Downtown @ Sundown Friday night. Absolute Queen, in spite of the heat, drew a big crowd to the Downtown Commons.

Hundreds were on hand to catch the opening acoustic performer Wesley Beeler before Absolute Queen paid tribute to the pop and rock music of the ’70s and ’80s.

Downtown @ Sundown is a free concert series that takes place the first and third Fridays of each month through October and returns July 15 with Ace Party Band at the Downtown Commons. Local food trucks are set up on site, with proceeds from beer and beverage sales benefiting the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region.
