CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Historical Society presents the inaugural walking tour of Historic Downtown Clarksville on Sunday, October 21 at 2 p.m.

Participants can meet on the Public Square in front of F&M Bank for a stroll up Franklin Street (sorry, no more trolleys) and a few points beyond, and learn about how the town of Clarksville began and evolved into what we know today.

Carolyn Stier Ferrell, local historian, author, and story-teller will lead the tour and share stories as you walk through Historic Downtown and see evidence and remnants of earlier days.

The tour will return to Public Square via Strawberry Alley. Cameras welcomed. Ms. Ferrell’s books will be available for sale at the conclusion of the tour.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased online.
