A.B. Byard (Buck), age 89, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, with his loving kids by his side. He was born February 5, 1935, in Montgomery County, TN to Sterling and Carria Suiter Byard.

Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Keesee Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Byard; sisters, Lucille, Sis, Doodie, Janice, and his brothers, Barney (Son), Skeet, Joe and Bill.

He retired from Trane after working there for over 30 years. He loved woodworking small crafts, including churches, crosses, hearts, and fishermen. He loved to give them away to doctors’ offices, hospitals, Cumberland Bank & Trust (Hiltop), and Hilltop Super Market just to name a few.

He leaves behind his four loving children, Jim (Gail) Byard, Rob (Kim) Byard, Carla Nicholson, and Sandi (Joe) Bryant; grandchildren, Markus Byard, Daniel Byard, Nikk Winbigler, Morgan Flippen, Madison Nicholson, Donald Black, Will Black, Robyn Woodside, Levi Byard, Mackenzie Byard, and Lindsey Augustine; nine great-grandchildren, Jaylen Graham, Emory Graham, Harper Flippen, Kaizen Beal, Toby Byard, Reagan Woodside, Elizabeth Byard, and Emma Augustine. Buck also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

The family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to Beverly Byard, the best chicken noodle soup cook. They would also like to thank hospice nurse, Hayley Earhart.

Pallbearers will be Donald Black, Will Black, Levi Byard, Mikey Woodside, Markus Byard, and Donnie Nicholson.
