Ernest “Tubb” Jarrell, age 71 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.
Tubb was born November 26, 1943 in Cheatham County, TN to the late Raymond Jarrell and Lois Gupton Jarrell. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Jarrell and Brooks Jarrell and sister, Judy Neal.
He was a member and deacon at First Christian Church. Mr. Jarrell was also a member of the Excell Coffee Club. He was retired from Kay’s Uniforms.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 8 at First Christian Church, with Rev. Craig Wascovich officiating. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation was from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 7 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Monday, June 8 at First Christian Church.
Tubb is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Brenda Wooten Jarrell; son, Darren (Tina) Jarrell of Clarksville; daughter, Courtney (Jeremy) Middleton of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Jim (Pat) Jarrell of Murfreesboro, TN; and seven grandchildren that lovingly knew his as PawPaw, Gretchen, Amelia, Garlyn, C.D., Addison, Finley, and Sloane.
Pallbearers will be C.D. Christy, F.C. Lehman, Kris Jarrell, Kenny Jarrell, Kip Jarrell, Jason Jarrell, Jimmy Darke, and Henry Davis.
