CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A 70-year-old woman has been charged with driving under the influence and causing a crash with a motorcycle that killed a 22-year-old Fort Campbell soldier, Matthew Rosa.
Following a grand jury indictment, Edna Darlene Doe was arrested Oct. 25 on charges of vehicular homicide driver intoxication, vehicular homicide and DUI first offense.
On March 30 at 9:50 a.m., Doe was driving a 2007 silver Ford sedan westbound on Dover Road. She tried to turn left onto Old Dover Road and drove into the path of a motorcycle heading eastbound on Dover Road, according to records obtained by Clarksville Now. The motorcycle struck the passenger door of the sedan, and Rosa died of his injuries.
Doe was driving while under the influence of marijuana, according to court records.
She is scheduled to appear in court for settlement hearing on Jan. 13, 2025.
