CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) –  The 5th annual Playmaker Basketball Middle School All-Star game was held this weekend at Clarksville Academy.

Terry Boykin, owner of Playmaker Basketball Academy brought together the best 8th-grade talent in the Clarksville area.

The boys played first followed by the girls game with several players called to center court to be recognized for receiving college scholarships in athletics. Teachers were also recognized in appreciation for their hard work.

Both games were close and full of action. The boys game was the highest scoring game in the five years of the All-Star game.

The Red team defeated the Blue team 94-91.

Boys Red Team: Chappel Whitney, AJ Taylor, Chandler Snorton, Nazier Venard, Keagan Toole, Zane Batten, Bert Kibawa, Tyler Moss, Caleb Grady, Nate Hall, Dezmond Fort, and Aaron Mauney. Coached – Marquis Rudolph

Boys Blue Team: Adam Roth, Brandon Dugger, Gavin Grubbs, Jacob Brandon, Damarion Walkup, Jeremiah Smith, Richard Montes, Cooper Wallace, Layne Steele, Corbin Rayno, and Tavion Lancaster. Coached – Ashley Franklin

 The girls game went into overtime with the Red team coming out on top 40-38.

Girls Red Team: Laura Nichols, Aubrey Padgett, Emiyah Cobb, Leila Walden, Brinley Mason, Shayanna Vaughn, Karlie Stinson, Brianna Burgess, Atiya Moss, Emily Clifford, Jaylah Kees, and McKenzy Mann. Coached – Marquis Rudolph

Girls Blue Team: Iyanna Curtis, Mckenna Phillips, Madisyn Ogburn, Amiyah Collier, Demetria Tucker, Jaidyn Ramzy, Brystal Calhoun, Maddie Byrd, Amaya Holmes, Abby Ballard, Lovely Alexander, Ayana Soto, and Paris Outlaw.
