CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – 5 Star Radio’s annual Toy Drive was a success again this year, collecting 3,113 toys and $2,420 for non-profit organizations in the Clarksville area.

Representatives from Q108, Beaver 100.3 FM, z97.5, Rewind 94.3, ESPN Clarksville, and Sunny 99.1 were stationed at Toys R Us Dec. 5 and 6, and the community responded generously.

“Because of you, we’re playing Santa to thousands of local children,” said Chris Buerck, promotions director for 5 Star Radio.

Monetary donations and collected toys will be sorted and distributed to Sanctuary Inc., United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Toys for Tots, Centerstone, and various foster care organizations. These are all local non-profits that serve Clarksville and the surrounding area.

Last year the community donated more than 2,200 toys and nearly $2,000.
