CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville-based 5 Star Radio group announces a new Christian music station that has just launched as Sunny 99.1 FM.
“This is a music-intensive station featuring upbeat songs with positive and inspirational Christian music,” said Operations Manager Jared Mims. “We’re delivering a sponsor supported station without appeals for listener donations,” he said.
The core of Sunny 99.1 FM music is current, contemporary Christian featuring artists such as Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, and Toby Mac.
Family Friendly Mornings airs Monday through Friday from 5 to 9 a.m. and is hosted by Doug & Jaci Valasquez. Jaci’s voice is a familiar one to many listeners from her hit songs, “On My Knees” (a Dove Award winning “Song of the Year”), as well as “God So Loved” and “You’re My God.”
Weekend programming will include shows such as the CCM Radio featuring artist interviews, flashback tracks, and a modern worship spotlight. Weekend personalities include Caroline Lusk, editor of CCM Magazine.
“We decided on this programming as the best way to serve the people of Clarksville on our new frequency 99.1 FM,” said General Manager Katie Gambill.
“We are planning some very creative promotions and look forward to working with local Christian organizations that have a vision for the future of Clarksville.”
Sunny 99.1 FM Clarksville was officially launched March 19, 2014.
