Update, Jan. 30, 2026: Nathan Rodriguez pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on Sept. 10, 2025. He was sentenced to nine years with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, with one year to serve and the remainder on state probation.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – CPD announced on Thursday the victim of the domestic-related homicide that occurred on Monday, Dec. 16, has been identified as 45-year-old Clint Hart of Clarksville.
At around 2 p.m. this past Monday, Clarksville Police responded to a shooting that had already occurred at a residence on West Creek Drive, off Peterson Lane in St. Bethlehem, according to previous reports. The victim, Hart, was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville by Montgomery County EMS and was pronounced dead a short time later.
CPD detectives then arrested 20-year-old Nathan Rodriguez of Clarksville, who was taken into custody without incident shortly after officers arrived at the scene of the crime. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
