CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are asking for the public’s help identifying three women who assaulted multiple victims at a store in Governor’s Square Mall on Christmas Eve.
On Dec. 24, at approximately 3:30 p.m., three women in the City Gear clothing store concealed merchandise and tried to leave when the anti-theft alarm sounded, according to the victims.
According to CPD spokesperson Lt. Melissa Spielhagen, one of the victims asked to see the women’s receipt. When they were unable to produce a receipt, the victim retrieved the merchandise.
One of the women then hit the victim with one of her other bags, which contained a large box, and another woman punched the victim in the chest. According to Spielhagen, one of the suspects threatened to get a gun from her purse to shoot one of the victims.
“The suspects continued their assault by spitting on them (the victims), splashing them with liquor and making various other threats,” Spielhagen said.
The Clarksville Police Department is seeking help identifying these women. Anyone with information or additional video footage is asked to contact Detective Neal at 931-648-0656, ext. 5538. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, submit a tip online at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Crime Stoppers website or call the Tipsline, 931-645-8477.
