Update, 10:35 a.m.: Police received the call about the suicidal woman at about 2 a.m., acording to Officer Ariana Prather. Police tried to negotiate with the woman, who was barricaded in the house.
Officers then saw heavy smoke and flames, and CFR was called in.
The subject was later taken into custody and transported to a hospital. There were no lifethreatening injuries. Charges are pending.
No further information was released.
Update, 8 a.m.: The 25-year-old woman was in the home with her child and her mother, both of whom were outside during the fire and were not injured, Rios said. Their home was destroyed.
The house next door was heavily damaged, and the family, consisting of a couple and their dog, was displaced.
The house next door on the other side had damage to the outside and possibly the attic. That family was not displaced.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Three houses were damaged in a fire set by a woman threatening suicide early this morning on Shirley Drive.
Just after 3 a.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue was dispatched to a first responder call for a woman threatening suicide, according to Assistant Chief Michael Rios. The woman had a gun, and Rescue 6 and EMS were advised to stage away from the area until the scene was clear.

At 3:10 a.m., a Clarksville Police officer advised that the house was on fire and called for fire trucks to respond. The houses are in Griffey Estates off Peachers Mill Road.
At 3:47 a.m., over a half hour after the fire started, the woman with the gun was subdued by police, the scene was cleared and CFR units were able to get to the house, Rios said.
The fire spread to the houses on both sides. Aerials ladders were set up to contain the fire and keep it from spreading. Three houses were damaged.
Clarksville Fire Rescue Battalion 2 crews from Stations 6, 7, 10 11, and 1 responded, and the fire was brought under control at 4:52 am.
American Red Cross was notified and is assisting the displaced families.
