CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Three Clarksville residents were killed in a single-vehicle, high-speed crash on Highway 12 in Ashland City Thursday morning.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on Highway 12 near Gayle Lane at Gibbs Road.

According to a report from Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the 2006 Nissan was traveling south on Highway 12 at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and hit a tree.

The driver and two passengers were all killed in the crash.

THP identified the driver as 44-year-old Alexander Slayden of Clarksville. The passengers were identified as 45-year-old Tawana Hoosier of Clarksville and 62-year-old Mary Mills of Clarksville.
