CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Early Thursday morning the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a request for assistance from the Oak Grove Police Department (OGPD) after a suspect rammed two of their patrol vehicles.
The driver, Sinquan Smith, 23, and two female passengers, Latorya Brooks, 35, and Rhoneshai Vaughn, 22, attempted to flee from authorities in their vehicle after stealing items from a local business.
With the help of the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, Smith’s vehicle was disabled on Interstate 24 at mile marker 31.
Smith has been taken into custody and charged with felony evading and driving on a revoked license by the MCSO.
Brooks and Vaughn were cited for misdemeanor theft and released by the OGPD.
Further charges are pending from the OGPD.
