HOUSTON COUNTY, Tenn. – Benjamin Pendergrass, a TVA employee, won $2 million in Saturday’s Powerball lottery drawing.

WKRN reports the ticket was sold by Wells Creek Market in Erin.

Pendergrass picked up his winnings at the lottery office in Nashville Monday.

Powerball winners do not have the option to take their winnings in an annuity; it must be paid out in full.

He told lottery officials he found out while working the second shift at his job with the Tennessee Valley Authority and danced with co-workers when he saw he held 5 of the 6 winning numbers.

The store owner, Bobby Patel will receive $5,000 for owning the store which sold the winning ticket.

Erin is about 30 miles south west of Clarksville.
