Update, 12:10 p.m.: The number of households without power is down to 1,019, according to CDE reports.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – About 2,500 CDE Lightband households lost power due to heavy wind gusts Saturday morning.

At 11:30 a.m., there were 35 outages affecting just over 2,500 customers, according to CDE.

“Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to get power restored,” CDE said.

The outages are mainly in the New Providence and south Clarksville areas.

Outside the city limits, there were about 150 households without power, according to Cumberland Electric Membership Corp.

Clarksville is under a Wind Advisory from the National Weather Service until 4 p.m., with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
