DICKSON, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Drug agents seized 21 pounds of cocaine following a traffic stop near Dickson.

Officers of the 23rd Judicial Task Force pulled a vehicle over Monday afternoon on Interstate 40.

Three adults and two children were in the vehicle, which authorities say was headed to North Carolina, likely from Mexico by way of Texas.

According to WKRN, the suspects were identified as Rodolfo Javier Falcon Garcia, Jose Gerardo Ornelas Pineda, and Claudia Claribel Gardea. The street value of the drugs totaled more than a quarter of million dollars.

“It bothers me,” an officer told News 2’s Andy Cordan. “It’s shameful someone would drag their kids across the country to smuggle drugs. It is pitiful.”
