CLARKSVILLE, TN – Kenwood High School is making history with a first-of-its-kind event: the Kenwood Entrepreneurial Center’s inaugural InvestFest, happening December 20th from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This student-led showcase marks the first high school–based live investment festival ever hosted in the state.

The InvestFest will feature five student-owned companies pitching live to real investors, along with one company launching their business publicly for the first time. These student ventures span multiple industries including rehabilitation and fitness, skincare, mental health services, merchandise, and innovative consumer products. Every pitch is the result of months of research, development, and mentorship through the Kenwood Entrepreneurial Center (KEC), a groundbreaking program designed to teach high school students how to build, brand, and launch real businesses before graduation.

What makes this moment so historic is not only the quality of the student companies but the structure of the program itself. The KEC operates like a functioning corporation, complete with a student CEO, executive staff, departments, internal meetings, and real operational responsibilities. Students manage marketing, media, business development, finance, and product creation at a level that mirrors early-stage startups. They attend workshops, meet with industry professionals, and prepare pitch decks just like entrepreneurs in the real world.
