CLARKSVILLE Tenn. – Join the movement and help create a world free of Multiple Sclerosis. Participate in the 2015 Walk MS event in Clarksville on Saturday, April 25, at Liberty Park and help walkers from across all Middle Tennessee counties raise funds for the more than 9,000 residents living with MS throughout Tennessee.
Walk MS will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Walkers will enjoy an event that features an exciting walk beginning at Liberty Park and a fun day with family and friends. Walk MS is a day that allows people to come together and celebrate being part of a movement for the 2.3 million people worldwide affected with MS. Prior to May 31, walkers will collect contributions from supportive local companies, family and friends. Walk MS, presented by Novartis, will feature food trucks, live entertainment and a kids’ area. There are two route options: 1 mile and 2 miles.
Proceeds will go toward funding for local client programs and national research focused on finding the cause and cure for MS.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
“Walk MS connects people of all ages together to raise awareness and raise money to fund cutting-edge research and treatment for MS,” said Stacy Mulder, Mid South Chapter President. “Middle Tennessee has become a rallying point of the MS movement creating a community of shared commitment determined to end MS through fundraising efforts.”
