CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Plans are underway for the Annual Austin Peay State University (APSU) Candlelight Ball set for March 14 in Nashville. The Candlelight Ball Committee is hard at work preparing for another premier event to support Austin Peay students.

Over the years the event has raised over $350,000 in scholarship funds and proceeds from the Candlelight Ball continue to raise funds for scholarships. Over 20 APSU students have been provided financial assistance and scholarships because of the generosity of underwriters and guests of the event.

APSU will hold their Candlelight Ball Awards Announcement Luncheon on Tuesday, January 13 2015 at Noon at F&M Bank, 50 Franklin Street in Clarksville. The luncheon highlights the Candlelight Ball recipients and recognizes key people involved in the event.

There are two awards that are a part of the luncheon with the award recipients formally recognized at the Candlelight Ball in March. They are the Wendell H. Gilbert Award and Spirit Award which are presented to individuals who have significantly contributed to APSU.

The 31st Annual APSU Candlelight Ball will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Hilton Nashville Downtown. The dinner and awards ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. with dancing to the 80’s band Guilty Pleasures at 8 p.m.
