WOODLAWN, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County Fire Service responded to a structure fire Thursday morning in Woodlawn.
Station 19 units responded to the fire in the 3800 block of Dailey Road, according to MCFS. Units arrived on the scene to a fully engulfed shed under a carport. The homeowners called 911 when they noticed the fire outside.

The structure was discovered to be a chicken coop, according to MCFS, and no injuries were reported at the scene. Unfortunately, 20 chickens perished in the fire.
The fire is believed to have been started from a heat lamp plugged into an extension cord run from the house to the coop.
