NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two people were arrested after allegedly transporting 40 pounds of marijuana into Nashville International Airport on Thursday.

WKRN News 2 reports that Drug Enforcement Administration officers received information Alan Wilson, 32, and 33-year-old Noelle Jett would be flying into Nashville from Las Vegas allegedly transporting drugs.

A K-9 officer reportedly detected the presence of marijuana inside Jett’s luggage.

Two large bundles of marijuana weighing 40 pounds were discovered inside the bag, according to police.

According to an arrest warrant, Jett’s cell phone contained text messages from Wilson instructing her to get her luggage quickly and obtain a rental vehicle.

When officers obtained consent to search Wilson’s phone, he agreed but reportedly reset it to factory settings after unlocking it.

Wilson and Jett were booked into the Metro jail and charged with felony drug possession. Wilson faces additional charges of tampering with evident. Jett’s bond was set at $100,000 and Wilson is being held on $120,000.
