Update, 12:24 a.m.: The crash happened when teenage driver veered off the right side of the roadway in a 2017 Buick Lacrosse and overturned before crashing into the wood line, according to a preliminary report from Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Those killed were the driver, 18-year-old Kevion Deshun Lane of Tennessee, and passenger 18-year-old Katrell Zion Godfrey of Tennessee. A 16-year-old passenger, also of Tennessee, was injured. None were wearing seat belts.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two people were killed in a wreck on Interstate 24 overnight.
At about 1:16 a.m. Sunday, the vehicle crashed on I-24 eastbound at mile marker 3, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.
Two people were killed in the wreck, and a third person was injured and taken by ambulance. LifeFlight was unable to respond because of weather conditions.
