SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The man accused of murdering a 7-year-old Kentucky girl appeared in court Monday. His bond was set at $1 million.

Timothy Madden, 38, sat emotionless as his charges of kidnapping, rape, sodomy and murder were read out loud, according to WKRN News 2.

He’s accused of killing 7-year-old Gabriella “Gabbi” Doolin’s death on Nov. 13 at a little league game at Allen County Scottsville High School.

Doolin was reported missing at 7:40 p.m. and found dead just 25 minutes later at 8:05 p.m. in a small stream of water nearby.

Kentucky State Police believe Madden raped and sodomized Gabbi before strangling her with his hands and drowning her.

“Biological evidence,” or DNA, found on her body is what led police to him, according to an arrest warrant obtained by News 2.

Jodi Madden, his wife of 10 years, told News 2 last week, “He would never put his hands on a little girl and molest her.”

Madden is being held on $1 million bond in the Barren County jail. Authorities said he is being housed alone.

The judge said he’s due back in court Dec. 2 for a preliminary hearing.
