CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A 17-year-old has been charged in relation to an attempted carjacking incident that occurred in the Wendy’s drive-thru at 1683 Fort Campbell Blvd. early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:15 a.m., the suspect, armed with a knife, approached the victim and demanded his vehicle, according to Detective Michael Patterson of the Clarksville Police Department.
The suspect stabbed the victim, but the victim wrestled the knife away from his attacker, who then fled the area on foot.
Moments later, the same suspect approached a different individual in the parking lot of a neighboring restaurant, presumably Waffle House, demanding his vehicle. The individual refused and the two became involved in a brief struggle, Detective Patterson said.
When the suspect heard sirens of approaching officers, he again attempted to flee on foot. A short time after, police officers located the suspect and arrested him.
The victim who was stabbed was transported to a hospital via Life Flight helicopter, where he has since been treated and released.
