CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Hundreds of military families lined up in downtown Clarksville Saturday morning to get some help with Thanksgiving through the fourth annual Turkeys for Troops giveaway.
1,500 turkeys were distributed to active-duty soldiers, veterans and their families in the James Corlew Chevrolet parking lot on College Street.
Each family received one free frozen turkey and a 2-liter soda.
James Corlew Chevrolet, F&M Bank, LifePoint Church and the Maynard family were the title sponsors for this year’s event. Other supporting sponsors include 5 Star Media Group, AJAX Distributing, Tristar Beverage, Gordon Food Service Store, Lanier Landscaping, Z97.5 and Beaver 100.3.
