CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The 14th Tennessee Infantry will celebrate their 150th anniversary Homecoming on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 at Fort Defiance Civil War Park.

A company street, firing demonstrations, and infantry tactics demonstrations will be set up from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The two-day event is free and open to the public.

The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center will also host a medical display Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The exhibit features presentations by Mark Britton and includes a collection of medical items used during the 19th century to include necessary tools for blood-letting, various surgical procedures and preparation of period medicinal products. The display also includes information regarding use of indigenous herbs used in medical practices.

Fort Defiance is located at 120 Duncan Street.
