Heavy storms that moved through Clarksville this evening have caused widespread power outages across the city. Currently, approximately 9,000 CDE Lightband customers are without power.
Trees have fallen across power lines in many parts of town and storms and there are several reports of broken poles.
According to CDE Lightband personnel, some of the outages may last into the daytime Saturday.
Crews will work around the clock to restore service as quickly and safely possible. If you see downed lines, stay away and notify CDE Lightband at (931) 648-8151

Over 12,000 Clarksville residents are experiencing power outages after recent storms moved through Montgomery County.
Officials from Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) report dispatch crews and engineers are currently assessing the situation. Areas will be assigned and crews are diligently working to restore power.
A specific time is not given by officials when power will be restored.
