NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An 11-year-old Clarksville girl who was critically injured in a four-vehicle crash on Briley Parkway last week has died from her injuries.
According to a release from Metro Nashville police, Alysia Johnson died Tuesday evening at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Johnson was a passenger in the back seat of a Ford Explorer driven by Patricia Dreher, 66. The SUV was stopped in traffic and struck from behind by a Chrysler Sebring, driven by William Miller, 70.
The drivers and passengers of the two other vehicles involved in the crash did not receive life-threatening injuries.
Police believe Miller’s inattention to the roadway is a contributing factor in the crash, but he has not been charged at this time.
There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
