CLARKSVILLE, TN – This morning the Clarksville Police Department held a swearing-in ceremony to welcome 11 new police cadets.
Mayor Joe Pitts and Chief David Crockarell each spoke to the cadets before Pitts conducted the ceremony.
These cadets will now begin in-house training for approximately two weeks before they attend the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy for 12 weeks, which is scheduled to begin on July 11.
This will be the first group of police cadets to have mentors from within the Clarksville Police Department.
