Nashville, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 101st at Fort Campbell traveled to Nashville Tuesday to study fitness and leadership with the Tennessee Titans.
Over 65 soldiers conducted a strenuous workout with the Titans strength and conditioning staff.
Major General Andrew Poppas, Commanding General of the 101st and Fort Campbell along with Brigade Commander, Colonel Alan Boyer, were part of the group of company commanders from across the brigade. The Titans visit is part of the Bastogne Brigade’s “Leader Agility Training.”
The training is a two-day program intended to conduct an exchange of leadership discussions with corporate and governmental agencies. The intent is to compare and contrast problem solving at the operational level in both the military and civilian sector.
Soldiers from Fort Campbell have attended football games and other activities with the Titans and the Titans have also paid a number of visits to Fort Campbell over the years. Colonel Boyer presented Titans General Manager Jon Robinson with a helmet from the 1st BCT.
