In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the 101st Airborne Division will host the first ever Sexual Assault Awareness Motorcycle Ride on the morning of March 27.

According to the registration page, this event is meant to “heighten awareness and endorse vigilant action against Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault.”

The 30 minute ride will navigate the Clarksville and Oak Grove city limits and will conclude inside the gates of Fort Campbell. The first 200 registrants will receive a complimentary teal bandana. Riders will be showing support for Fort Campbell’s Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program.

CAC Card or Dependent ID Card Holders can participate in the event, which will start at Cole Park located at 1610 101st Airborne Division Parkway, and end at the PX Parking lot located at 3000 Reed Avenue.

9:30 a.m. – Meet/Safety Brief/Route review
9:45 a.m. – Movement begins
10:20 a.m. – Movement ends at the PX
10:30 a.m. – noon – After party/Cookout

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department will provide escorts for Tennessee side of the route, while Oak Grove Police Department will provide escorts for Kentucky side. DES will have designated exit and entry lanes for both exiting and entering post for the event, along with MP’s for post escorts and security for the cookout. Extra MP’s will be present to scan riders back in at the truck stop outside of Gate 7.

A motorcycle trailer, truck and driver will be provided by DIVARTY and driven by SSG Greenwood. Medics will be provided by 86th CSH. Food provided by Ms. Erin Bell will include beef hot dogs, chips and bottled water. The grill will be provided by DIVARTY’s SARC.
