FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – Approximately 120 soldiers from the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 101st Airborne Division are scheduled to return to Fort Campbell Saturday.
Family, friends and fellow soldiers will gather at a ceremony to welcome the returning soldiers home from their deployment to West Africa, where the unit provided humanitarian assistance in support of Operation United Assistance, the comprehensive U.S. government response to the Ebola pandemic.
These soldiers completed their 21-day controlled monitoring at Fort Bliss, Texas.
The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Commander, Maj. Gen. Gary J. Volesky, will speak about the achievements and efforts of his Screaming Eagles and other subordinate units.
The ceremony will take place Saturday, March 21 at 1:30 p.m. in Hanger 3.
