FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell will hold a redeployment recognition event June 11 for Soldiers who recently returned from locations around the world.

The event will take place 4 p.m. on the division’s parade field at Fort Campbell, and will be live-streamed on the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/101st/.

About 230 Soldiers will be recognized.

The Soldiers are assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), headquartered at Fort Campbell. They previously deployed to multiple locations worldwide. The Soldiers redeployed to Fort Campbell in multiple groups, and will be recognized together.

The service members supported a number of missions for commands worldwide, including United States Africa Command.

Since their redeployment, they have undergone a precautionary quarantine to ensure their safety and the safety of their Families and the community.

Officials planning the ceremony have integrated social distancing and safety measures in accordance with best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Department of Defense guidelines.
